Alchemy of Xing Yi
Xing Yi, "the Directed Will " requires the development of the highest degree of concentration. Its name is also translates as "Fist of the Directed Will". The practice of Xing Yi presupposes the use of reason and thought for creation of the form and movement of the body.
This technique, as the third "internal art" alongside Taijiquan and Baguazhang, is considered to be created not so much as martial art but as a practice promoting transformation of one´s body and energy.
The peculiarity of Xing Yi is that a practitioner should create a movement of internal power which can be transformed into an external physical release of energy. If the form of Taiji corresponds to a line and Bagua with a circle, Xing Yi corresponds with a point which symbolizes concentration and force of all internal energy. |
