Art of Female One
The Art of Female One (shou yi) is also known as Art of Regulating Yin energy. It is part of the Highest Clarity Daoist tradition and focuses on understanding one’s nature, its contemplation and following.
The nature of the Female One has three levels of realization of qi energy: initial qi, natural qi and refined qi. The first level relates to the understanding of the given energy, the second relates to the energy of the ultimate female nature, and the third – to the transformation, which enhances one’s personal nature.
Unlike the nature of Yang, the nature of Yin has different character which allows to understand the body on the principle of the Unified body (ling ti). Female One allows us to control the body, the energy and the spirit, thus serving as a foundation on the path towards understanding of the personal nature of the human being.
According to the Highest Clarity tradition this threefold One (san yi) is basis for the achievement of the Great One (union of the individual nature with the Macrocosm).
The Female One is subdivided in three natures:
- female nature (nü tianxing)
- nature of the Great Repository (xuan qiao)
- nature of Pure spirituality (jing shen)
The Art of Female One is marked by three levels of advancement:
Level 1
Ability to gather energy (juji jingqi)
Level 2
Ability to generate yin-jing energy and ability to assimilate energy (xishou jingqi)
Level 3s
Ability to form Minor Yang, or work with yin-shen energy. This is called the Art of Transforming Yin energy (hua yin jing)
