Developing the vessel of Heavenly Transformation (elbows)
This practice belongs to the Peach Orchard tradition and is directed at practical understanding of the characteristics of the body. It is related to the quality of the development of the body, the energy and the consciousness. The practice treats the vessel of the Heavenly Transformation (the elbows) as an independently developing vessel, capable of generating jing energy, which is necessary for construction and change of the whole body, the energy and the consciousness. The vessel of Heavenly Transformation has capacity to support internal perception.
The practice has five levels:
Level 1
Directed at construction of the vessel in order to reach the possibility for its alchemical transformation (liandan). This level studies the practice (the formula), allowing to perceive the vessel of Heavenly Transformation as a matrix organ.
Level 2
Directed at construction and development of the internal connections (datong neimai), allowing to perceive the vessel as integral part of a unified body, which defines the gathering and developmental properties of the vessel.
Level 3
Ability to form the conditions for production of elixir – the energy capable of transforming the body. The level is also related to the notion of internal perception, when the vessel begins to affect the process of energetical circulation in the body not only on the basis of its own energy, but also of the transformed energy of the Rainbow and the Flower shell vessels.
Level 4
The fourth level defines the ability of the vessel to distill the energy and form new characteristics of the body (heavenly paste (shenhua)).
Level 5
The fifth level is defined by the ability to participate in the full or partial change of the whole body; the process also corresponds to the notion of the formation of miraculous powder (dansha).
